Jetti in a Box: Catalyst Dosing Equipment
Our small, modular plants, “Jetti in a Box” , are scalable to meet requirements, have a minimal site footprint and can be quickly deployed and removed.
Jetti in a Box (JIB) was created to transform how we deploy our catalyst technology at mine sites by enclosing core dosing processes into a single, containerized solution. This approach streamlines installation, reduces on-site complexity, and dramatically accelerates the timeline from commercial agreement to full operation. With JIB, we enable our customers to realize value faster.
JIB is the result of more than six years of operational experience at active mine sites, where we’ve refined our delivery system and learned firsthand what it takes to succeed in the copper mining landscape. We used those insights to design a product that works best in the field, simplifying on-site installation while maintaining performance.
Our JIB catalyst dosing equipment integrates seamlessly with existing infrastructure, requiring only raffinate, water, power and sewage connections. JIB does not require changes to the flow sheet or additional permitting.
Jetti’s proprietary catalyst technology has proven effective and economic on run of mine (ROM) ore and works on both heap and dump leaches. Our technology is commercially proven and has been applied to hundreds of millions of tonnes of ore.
In 2019, Jetti first deployed its technology at the Pinto Valley mine, run by Capstone Copper, and continues to operate there today. The successful implementation enabled Capstone to extend the economic and operational life of their mine.
Jetti also operated commercially for a limited period at Freeport-McMoRan’s Bagdad mine. Our technology is fully reversible, with no contamination to bioleaching and SX-EW, and no impact on mine rehabilitation plans.
Jetti has best-in-class capital intensity: less than $1,500 per annual tonne of additional production, with very low operating costs of $1.50 per lb, including cathode plating costs.
